Crewe Alexandra have recalled midfielder Mark Carrington from his loan spell at Kidsgrove Athletic.
The 19-year-old Warrington born player has enjoyed a successful stint with the the UniBond League First Division outfit since first signing for them back in September, but with injury problems still biting hard, the Alex have opted to recall the talented youngster to Gresty Road.
For Saturday's trip to Bradford City, the Alex had 13 professionals missing, prompting defender Paul Bignot to be recalled from his loan spell at Kidderminster Harriers.
Lloyd - Witton loan expired
With Neil Cox further adding to those problems after suffering an injury in 4-0 FA Cup drubbing, and with on loan Isaac Osbourne having returned to Coventry City, numbers are short at Reaseheath, prompting Carrington's recall.
The Academy graduate, who signed his first professional contract with the club in the summer, is yet to make his first team debut for Crewe, but goes straight into the squad to face Chester City in the Cheshire Senior Cup this evening.
Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Robert Lloyd, who has spent the past couple of months on loan with Witton Albion, also looks set to feature for the Reserves this evening after his loan spell with the UniBond League outfit ended.
He will go straight into the starting line-up to face Chester at the Deva Stadium.
